How to enable hidden USB settings on Windows Phone 8.1

A WPCentral forum member has shared a trick that brings up a hidden USB setting menu on Windows Phone 8.1.

Here’s how to get this hidden USB setting:

1. Launch Bing or Cortana
2. Type in ‘USB’
3. Swipe left to ‘phone’
4. Tap Settings > USB

The USB settings allows you to enable two new features, including ‘Ask me before using USB data connection’ and ‘Notify me when I connect to a slower charger’.  What’s happening here is Bing/Cortana is doing a universal search on the device, which is now part of Windows Phone 8.1, as a result its now showing a hidden function. Unfortunately at present the settings are not working on WP8.1 Preview.
